An earthquake is a shaking of Earth's surface. The shaking is caused by movements in Earth's outermost layer.

Earthquake is a natural disaster. It happens due to earth shivering of earth.

Causes of Earthquake

Earthquakes are caused by sudden  movements in the Earth’s crust. The main cause is that when tectonic plates, one rides over the other, causing orogeny collide, earthquakes. 

Effects of Earthquake

The effects of an earthquake are terrible and devastating. Many building, hospitals, schools, etc are destroyed due to it. A lot of people get killed and injured. Many people lose their money and property. It affects the mental health and emotional health of people.

 So, we should keep safe ourselves from it. We can apply some safety measures tools or experiments.

  if you live in an earthquake-prone area, you must be cautious. You must have an earthquake emergency kit which may include all the items which you may require after the earthquake.

    A supply kit must include all the items which your household may require in case of an emergency.

   

1) Water : You must keep enough supply of water as it is essential for your survival and is a basic need.

2) Food : You must include non-perishable food in your emergency supply kit. Also, keep food items which are easy to prepare.

3) Flashlight : As the power supply may get disrupted, thus it is advisable to keep a flashlight for your safety.

4) Medicines : You must have enough supply of medicines and also carry your personal identity documents with you which may include address proof, insurance policies, etc.

5) First aid kit : Keeping a first aid kit should be your utmost priority. It may include medicines, bandage strips, hand sanitizer, band-aids, etc.
